My understanding of the world around has been the deciding factor in the paths I have chosen to take. My family, my understanding of the functions of the world, my relationships to the environment, and my past encourage me to do the best I can. I do not have sole inspiration, but a collection of ideas, values, peoples, and experiences that put me on my paths. I do not let one person control my life, I do not wish to be like another, instead I choose use a collection of the peoples, ideas and things in world and create something better.

I implement the teachings of my people into my life, and into the life I create for my family. Post secondary education gives me the opportunity to expose those around me to things that have been put into the shadows, and stigmatised. I openly discuss and express my opinions, culture or traditions to those who want clarification, or those who question their purpose.

 

 

 

I look to expand my knowledge on my own heritage, culture and traditions and I use those around me to aid me in the process. I have learned many stories in the time that I have been searching for clarification. Each story has their own meaning, lesson, and origin that I try and make sense of in my modern and daily life. I like to look at stories of plants and creation because this is where my passion is.

As there are many variations between each nation and band, there is no single true story of the beginning or lesson. I particularly enjoy the story of creation where man laiyed on the forest floor and all animal, plant, water, soil gave their life to give him knowledge; this is the creation of our knowledge and our deep connection to the earth.
